AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce invited the community to the 2024 Cinco De Mayo Fajita Festival on Friday, which will see teams prepare delicious fajitas for the competition that will raise funds for scholarship and internship programs at AHCC.

The competition will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday at Hodgetown Park, located at 715 S. Buchanan St. Organizers noted that fajita meat, vegetables, and tortillas will be provided to competing teams while the community will have a chance to enjoy each fajita.

In addition, organizers announced that a concert featuring Los Vendavales is also scheduled to finish out the evening event.

Organizers detailed that tickets are $35 per person and $10 for kids 12 and under until Thursday. Tickets will rise to $40 per person if purchased at the box office or online on Friday. Those interested can visit the Sod Poodle ticket website to purchase tickets.

Hodgetown has a clear bag policy and is a cashless facility, organizers reminded the community.
