    Luther Crest opening 69-unit senior apartment complex

    Active seniors will soon have a new place to live.

    Luther Crest, a Diakon Senior Living Community, has completed the finishing touches on itsGreenwood Apartmentsexpansion project, which adds 69 independent living apartments for seniors in the Lehigh Valley.

    The Greenwood Apartments expansion, located at 800 Hausman Road in Allentown, offers one- and two-bedroom open floor plans ranging from 920 to 2,000 square feet of living space.

    The apartments feature high ceilings and natural light, a den, a balcony with outdoor space, modern kitchen and bathrooms, and access to campus amenities and an on-site health care center.

    “Luther Crest’s Greenwood Apartments expansion marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing exceptional living spaces for seniors in the Lehigh Valley region,” said Luther Crest Executive Director Nicole Rohrbach. “We’ve aimed to make Greenwood the perfect place where residents can live an active and worry-free lifestyle, enjoy exquisite dining options, and conveniently access a full range of high-quality amenities just outside their door.”

    The expansion also features a newdining experienceincluding an exhibition-style restaurant and a teaching kitchen, firsts for a Diakon senior living community.

    It includes an exhibition-style restaurant where residents can see the culinary team in action; a private dining room; a teaching kitchen; a fast-casual marketplace; a caf; a hearth and grill restaurant; a bar and lounge; and outdoor dining areas.

    The Greenwood expansion builds on Luther Crest’s all-inclusiveamenitiesand services such as the heated indoor swimming pool, fitness center offering individual and group exercise classes, arts and crafts studio, woodworking shop, card and game room, billiards and shu?eboard, full-service beauty salon and barber shop, bocce ball courts, and arboretum.

    A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 30 to commemorate the completion of the Greenwood Apartments expansion and Luther Crest’s dining area renovations.
