    Man dead in high-speed crash on Lehigh Street in Allentown is identified [Updated]

    A Philadelphia man died early Tuesday after a crash in Allentown, according to authorities.

    City police said in a news release that a vehicle was driving north at a high rate of speed about 1 a.m. in the 1900 block of Lehigh Street when it left the road and hit several parked cars. The driver suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

    Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio identified the man as Abeil Adilow, 27, of Philadelphia. Adilow’s cause of death was from multiple traumatic injuries from the crash, with the manner accidental.

    Photos from the scene showed the vehicle crashed into the lot of a car dealership in the area.

    Allentown police and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office are investigating the crash.
