“Everybody in the area phonecalled me when they had this note,” Ronda Duke said.
Duke, who lives in West Virginia, immediately got into the car with her son and drove to Towne Tower where Ri-kiah was living with her boyfriend. Her mom says Oct. 11, 2022, was the last time she spoke with her then-24-year-old daughter.
“This is right where she went missing, a block away is where they found a decomposed body,” Duke said.
Duke says she called detectives to see if the body found is her daughter. She had already provided her DNA to investigators and says it could take months to make that determination.
“I’m going crazy. I’m not going to be able to sleep now I need answers I can’t wait three months, I don’t know what else to do,” Duke said.
It’s an answer that could provide closure to the family.
“I just don’t want it to be my child so that’s why I don’t know how to feel exactly,” Duke said.
State police in Beaver County are investigating the case along with Aliquippa Police, the Beaver County District Attorney and the Beaver County Coroner.
