Blizzard Warning Until 6:00 pm
Blizzard conditions are ongoing within the valley. A Blizzard warning has been issued until 6:00 pm. Snow will wind down this morning leaving behind just a chance for a snow shower this afternoon, but windy conditions will remain through the afternoon. North winds will remain between 20-40 mph with gusts higher at times will create blowing and drifting snow through the afternoon with areas of drastically reduced visibility. Heaviest snowfall reports are coming in between a triangle from Jamestown to Grand Forks, and Fargo, as well as points northeast of that with 6-9 inches of snow and localized areas pushing close to a foot.

BISMARCK – Sophomore LeeLee Bell had a double double of 19 points and 10 rebounds to help the number one seeded and number one team in the state the Minot Majettes defeat the number nine seeded Jamestown Blue Jays 83-54 in the first round of the 2024 West Region Girls’ Basketball tournament on Thursday afternoon. Bonnie Thompson, a University of Jamestown (UJ) engineering student, has received the Bill Bicknell Legacy Scholarship from the North Dakota Chapter of The Wildlife Society. Dawson Softball splits in Jamestown
After a 2-2 split this past weekend, the Lady Bucs are now 6-2. They faced some tough oppositions in their games against North Dakota Science and the University of Jamestown. During the game against NDSCS, the Lady Bucs were down 7-1 going into the fifth inning, when they rallied back, scoring 6 runs to tie the game. They ended up having to play an international tie breaker, eventually losing in the bottom of the eighth 9-8. In their game versus UJ, they had the lead until the fifth inning, when the Jimmies scored six runs, making it a 9-5 ball game.

The University of Jamestown Music Department will host a Guest/Faculty Recital on Thursday, February 29 at 7:30 p.m. This free community concert will be held in the Reiland Fine Arts Center lobby.
