Highest paid public employees in Irmo. Search the lists for town, fire district
If you live in Irmo, your tax dollars are paying for not one but two public service entities. These are the top-paid positions both in the town of Irmo and the surrounding Irmo Fire District. The South Carolina Freedom of Information Act allows compensation for employees with earnings equaling $50,000 or more annually to be released. But in response to a request from The State, Irmo released a list of salaries for 45 town positions (although not names) down to a $9,750-a-year administrative assistant. Town Administrator Jim Crosland is the highest paid town employee, pulling in $139,247.55 a year since he was hired in July of last year after leaving the city manager position in nearby Cayce. The next highest paid, unsurprisingly, is Deputy Administrator Nicholle Burroughs, who makes $126,917 since she moved over from the top administrative post up the road in Chapin . Police Chief Bobby Dale, at $109,430.88, and finance director Lisa Hancock, at $100,850.10, round out the town employees making six figures. The next four highest paid employees are all in the Irmo Police Department. Assistant Police Chief John Hendricks ($89,756); Special operations Lt. Trent Williams $85,535.84; Patrol Lt. Andrea Grinstead ($84,687.20); and Investigations Sgt. Kelly
