    Albuquerque Police search for suspect in 2021 murder of homeless woman

    NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is asking searching for Sayra Roubideaux, accused of a 2021 murder of a homeless woman.

    Co-owner of Las Cruces daycare accused of sexually abusing young child

    A warrant was filed for Roubideaux, accusing her of killing Callie Garcia who was found dead in April 2021 with a gunshot wound to the neck. Police say a witness told them Roubideaux was a drug deal who held power in the homeless community and was known as, ‘Mama Loca.’

    According to multiple witnesses, Roubideaux shot Garcia over a disagreement. Some witnesses told police Roubideaux may have planned to leave the state. Anyone with information is asked to contact APD.
