Warm weather sticking around going into October

After a slight cool start to the week, warmer weather is rolling in with the start of October. When could we finally see Fall weather?. Forecasts are showcasing very consistent patterns of dry and warm weather as we change over months. October is trending 10-15 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year and that will push us into the upper 80s by the weekend. I'm not leaving out the chance of 90°F returning to southern Idaho just yet as the heat just continues on.

Fall Temperature Roller Coaster: Frost Tonight, Rain Mid-Week, Warm-Up Ahead

Meteorologist Jordan Scheufler: Monday September 14th. Temperatures will stay cool overnight, dropping as low as 34 degrees across Lincoln, southern Blaine, and northern Minidoka counties—where a Frost Advisory is in effect. Thankfully, those gusty daytime winds will calm down overnight, allowing frost to form on sensitive plants. As we head into the rest of the week, expect a bit of a temperature roller coaster! Highs warm up into mid-week, but an incoming system brings increased shower chances late Wednesday into Thursday. Temperatures drop back into the 70s on Friday before rebounding into the lower 80s by next Monday. Looking further ahead, high pressure settles back in to keep the rest of September warmer than average.
