Showers increase into Sunday night before a cool Labor Day
Meteorologist Jordan Scheufler: Friday September 4th. Sunday will be the warmest day we’ve seen in a while, but enjoy it while it lasts! A new weather system moves in overnight, bringing rain and a big drop in temperatures for Labor Day. Showers will start light before becoming more widespread by early Monday morning. Rain tapers off by Labor Day afternoon—leaving drier weather for outdoor plans—but temperatures take a major hit, struggling to even clear 70 degrees in the Magic Valley. We’ll see a slow warm-up with dry conditions through midweek before another cold front knocks temperatures back into the 70s late in the week and into next weekend.
