Buchholz Mock Trial team wins team and individual awards at state competition

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Buchholz Mock Trial competed again this year at the State competition in Orlando in March. Taking 13th place, the team received the most votes from other teams to win one of the Legal Professionalism awards.

In addition, Mock Trial President Veronica Brown won Best Attorney and Best Witness awards this year, after taking home a Best Witness award in the 2022 competition. The team was coached this year by Dr. Jennifer Sager, parent; Adam Stout, attorney; Jessica Morey, faculty sponsor; and Noel Cosat, a BHS mock trial alumnae now competing at the University of Central Florida.

The team consisted of Veronica Brown, Emily Vij, Meredith Fuller, Sophia de Faria, Bryce Gillingham, Casey Bauer, Grace Hendricks, Rebekah Brown, and Mia Gwaltney.
