Snowy roads cause accidents, spinouts
MINNEAPOLIS — The falling weekend snow has caused a headache for some drivers. The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting that between 9 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday there were 238 crashes on Minnesota roads. Only about 30 of those crashes involved injuries and only one involved serious or fatal injuries.State patrol also said 106 cars spun off the roadways. There were also two jackknifed semi-trucks. It's important to remember to stay inside your car if you spin out or crash. It is also recommended that people keep a winter emergency kit in their cars. SE Minnesota driver involved in deadly crash in SW Minnesota
NOBLES, Minn. - A fatal crash Saturday morning in southwest Minnesota involved a driver from the southeast part of the state. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened around 6:50 am on Interstate 90 in Nobles County. An SUV driven by a 21-year-old man from Dover was westbound when it went out of control and rolled into the median near mile marker 39. The State Patrol says the highway was snow and ice-covered at the time of the crash.

St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Minnesota woman has been sentenced to federal prison for a conviction connected to multiple schemes to defraud people throughout the nation.
