Westfield council tables athletic fields vote as land restriction is questioned
WESTFIELD — The City Council voted on Thursday to table its final vote on the $11.1 million bond for athletic field improvements at Westfield High School. The matter will instead be taken up at the meeting of June 6. The reason for the postponement was a question raised to Councilor Nicholas Morganelli by a constituent of whether Boardman Field, one of the fields to be renovated, had attained the required conservation restrictions after being purchased by the city with Community Preservation Act funds.

For the second year in the arow, the Mount Greylock boys and girls track and field teams claimed both Western Massachusetts Division II titles.
