Whitney Foster, the pastor of the True Foundation Non-Denominational Church, was convicted of felony theft in connection with three churches: First Christian Church of Lancaster, Canada Drive Christian Church, and Church at Nineveh in Dallas.
Fatal crash temporarily closes High Five interchange
DALLAS — A motorcyclist died at Interstate 635 and North Central Expressway Monday night, prompting officials to close the highway overnight. The Dallas Police Department (DPD) responded to an accident call at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 20. Officers found a male motorcyclist traveling south on the Central Expressway on the exit ramp to I-635 changed lanes and crashed into a sweeper truck, police said.
Dallas shooting leaves one dead, child injured
DALLAS, Texas — A shooting incident on the evening of May 19, 2024, has left one man dead and a 12-year-old boy injured, according to Dallas Police. At approximately 8:30 p.m., police responded to a call from the 400 block of Alcorn Avenue, where they found 33-year-old Jose Garnados-Cerritos, of Dallas, Texas, shot dead in a pickup truck. A 12-year-old boy, also in the vehicle, had been shot and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The driver and another juvenile passenger in the vehicle were unharmed.
