Warrant Issued for Man After Shooting Near Hospital Friday
Police are searching for Jesus Roybal, 32, of Santa Fe, after a man was shot on April 19 near the Española Hospital. An arrest warrant has been issued for Roybal, charging him with one count each of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and shooting at or from a motor vehicle.

Fire Destroys San Pedro Home
Española firefighters spent several hours Monday morning trying to extinguish a house fire on South Riverside Drive that began in the early morning hours. They responded at 2 a.m. to a dwelling fire next to EZ-Way Laundromat in San Pedro. Deputy Fire Chief John Wickersham said a man had been staying there but he was in the hospital at the time of the fire. There were no injuries because no one was in the house or on the property at the time.

Lily Is Available For Adoption At Los Alamos Animal Shelter
Lily is a 5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog and Bernese Mountain Dog mix surrendered by her owner on March 16 to the Los Alamos Animal Shelter. She enjoys long, fast walks and likes to play. Nuclear Watch New Mexico calls for comprehensive plutonium cleanup at LANL
A group of anti-nuclear activists used data from Los Alamos National Laboratory to map places where plutonium contamination has been found in areas near the lab. Nuclear Watch New Mexico says that the data indicates plutonium contamination has migrated through the subsurface and into important water sources. The group called for comprehensive cleanup at LANL.
