Summary: Storms potential yesterday was mostly all bark and no bite thanks to a ‘cap’ holding strong over the big country. While conditions were in place with the necessary ingredients to provide for storm chances. The cap remained in place thanks to limited heating from a blanket of cloud cover. Storms really struggled to maintain and increase in intensity with the exception of two storms out west that were classified as severe, dropping large hailstones (quarter sized). Today expect a morning cold front to limit temperatures and drop relative humidity values creating elevated fire concerns. Another weak cold front moves in tomorrow clashing with a stationary front providing more cloud cover. Thursday a dry-line provides the chance to see thunderstorms into the heartland some becoming severe. A cold front will push south and stall across the state brining decent rain chances with more widespread-numerous showers being possible. Rain chances dry out by Sunday afternoon as temperatures return back to seasonal by Earth day!

Today: Sunny, warm with clouds and winds increasing. High Temperature: 87° Winds: W 10-15 G 25 MPH

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, mild with a light breeze at times. Low Temperature: 58° Winds: SSW 5-10 G 20 MPH
