According to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, the city has over 100,000 migrants who arrived. Initially, Mayor Adams blamed Texas Governor Greg Abbott when he sent migrants to New York a year ago.

Since then, El Paso, Texas bussed some migrants to New York City but other migrants made their way to the City on their own. According to El Paso’s database, they sent over 10,519 migrants to New York City.

On September 27, Governor Abbott was in New York City to share his thoughts on the migrant crisis with the Manhatten Institute and what he is doing to prevent more illegal immigrants from arriving.

During a Fox News interview, Governor Abbott said he sent over 15,800 migrants to New York City as of September 26.

For over the past year, Governor Abbott has blamed President Biden for the migrant crisis. When President Biden came into office, he stopped building former President Donald Trump’s wall along the southern border.

Last year, a new record was set for the number of migrants who crossed the border. According to PBS, over 2 million illegal immigrants crossed the southern border and they were encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Mayor Adams initially blamed Governor Abbott for sending migrants to his City, but now he is blaming President Biden for not doing enough as referenced in this ABC 7 article. He has repeatedly asked for financial support since migrants overwhelmed what New York City could handle. Adams also asked for support from Governor Kathy Hochul.

Do you think Governor Abbott or President Biden is the problem when it comes to migrants?
