Migrants have started to overwhelm Border Patrol and local agencies align the border. Little support is coming from the federal government other than financial support to help border and sanctuary cities.

Now, migrants are starting to overwhelm border cities. Just last week, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol had to release migrants onto the streets of San Diego. Now, the same is happening in Arizona.

Last week, in a press release, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs asked for support from the Biden administration. When she took office, Governor Hobbs said at her State of the State address that she was going to rely more on Congress to help Arizona and the migrant crisis according to KTAR News.

Nine months have passed and little has been done and now Arizona is getting overwhelmed at the border.

According to Fox 10, Retired ICE Field Office Director John Fabbricatore said:

"They have 34,000 beds, no more. Those beds are already taken up, so as thousands and thousands more people come across the border, there's nowhere to put them right now."

Fabbricatore added:

"Since there's nowhere to house them, they are just simply giving them what's called a ‘Notice to Appear’ in front of an immigration judge."
"They issued them the Notice to Appear, and then, they released them on their own recognizance. There's two million case backlog in the immigration court, so some of these case dates that they're putting on those [Notices to Appear] are five to seven years down the road from now."

According to NBC News, Border Patrol released about 200 to 300 migrants near Nogales, Arizona.

What do you think about the migrant situation in Arizona?
