Dinosaur World Opens June 9th at Sweet Valley Ranch in Fayetteville, NC

FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA– Dinosaur fanatics young and old will have plenty to enjoy when Dinosaur World opens at Sweet Valley Ranch on June 9th.  Once inside, guests will take a shuttle ride to the ¼-mile, woodsy, paved Dinosaur Trail. The trail has 25 animatronic dinosaurs (large and small), an abandoned research lab, observation booths, and plenty of special effect props.

According to Fred Surgeon, owner of Sweet Valley Ranch:

“We take pride in not being one of those 'parking lot dinosaur attractions. We spared no details in taking guests back to a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth.” 

For the price of admission, guests can also enjoy a fossil museum, a reptile house, a fossil dig, a Dinosaur Playland, and walking the grounds to view the hundreds of animals on site.

On Saturday evenings at 8:30 p.m., guests can take part in an Interactive Rescue Mission, which tasks participants to locate missing staff involved with the creation of Dinosaur World.  The Interactive Rescue Mission includes a nighttime Farm Tour and viewing of life-size lighted dinosaur displays.

For a small additional cost on-site, guests can also take a guided farm tour on a tractor-pulled covered wagon, a twenty-minute go-kart trek nature trail tour, or fish at one of two stocked ponds. All fishing supplies are included.  The fishing experience is catch and release.

Dinosaur World opens June 9th and closes August 8th and is open weekly from Wednesday through Sunday.   It opens at 10 a.m. each day. Tickets range from $16 to $39 for adults and $8 to $19 for children from 3 through 12.  Ticket information. 

About Sweet Valley Ranch

According to the facility's website, the facility is home to horses, llamas, Angus cows, a potbelly pig, Macaws, 4 different species of ducks, miniature horses, donkeys, fainting goats, 6 different species of chickens, turkeys, peacocks, guinea hens, 6 different species of fancy pigeons, lion-head rabbits, a Burmese star tortoise, Great Pyrenees, water buffalo, Bramham bull, Netherland dwarf rabbits, and miniature Australian shepherds. 

As a working commercial farm, they grow tobacco, cotton, soybeans, and sweet potatoes as well as garden crops of tomatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, green beans, and many more. In addition to the summer Dinosaur World experience, the farm is also open to the public during the fall featuring a corn maze and during a festival of lights during the holiday season.
