Man pronounced dead following possible DUI ATV crash in Washington County
DONEGAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) - A man is dead after a late-night ATV crash in Washington County. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened just before midnight in Donegal Township on Chicora Fennelton Road near Geibel Road. Troopers said that the driver was attempting to make a turn, lost control, crashed, and ultimately suffered deadly injuries as a result of the ATV rolling over during the crash.He was identified as 39-year-old David Sibenac of Gibsonia. State police do believe that Sibenac was under the influence at the time of the crash.
Rain showers and storms expected for Pittsburgh area Monday
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- We woke up to patchy fog this morning and we will stay mostly cloudy and mainly dry today with highs above normal in the mid 70s. There's a small chance for a stray shower today and nothing severe is expected. A few rain showers are possible Tuesday during the afternoon and then we will have several rounds of heavy rain and even some rumbles of thunder overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning rain sticks around then tapers off with highs back in the low 80s then becoming gorgeous and summer-like with mostly sunny skies. The chance of rain sticks around through the end of the week and weekend with stray t-storms and then we cool down for Mother's Day weekend with highs in the low to mid 60s. Update: Southwest Pa. under a flash flood warning Sunday night
On Sunday at 8:24 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 10:30 p.m. for Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties. "At 8:24 p.m., Trained weather spotters reported flooding along Main Street in New Eagle due to heavy rain within the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, most likely in low-lying areas," according to the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."
