JCFD responds to house fire on Shawnee Road; all residents and pets safe
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Johnson City Fire Department (JCFD) responded to a house fire on Shawnee Road Thursday evening. The owners of the house said the fire started after a lawn mower caught fire in the garage. All residents and pets did make it out safely, the owner reported.

Missing East Tennessee Woman Found Safe, Ending Search Prompted by Silver Alert
The search for a missing East Tennessee woman drew to a close Monday night as the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported that Oretha Kollie had been found safe. A Silver Alert had been issued earlier in the evening by the TBI on behalf of the Jonesborough Police Department after concerns escalated over her whereabouts due to a medical condition that could impair her ability to return safely on her own.
