James Lent achieves Eagle Scout rank
ROCKPORT — James Lent achieved the highest award in Scouting, the Eagle Scout rank, during a ceremony held in his honor at the Rockport Masonic Center on April 28. James, the son of Kenneth and Linda Lent of Rockport, finished his Scouting trail as a member of Troop 200 in Camden but he was also a member of Troop 206 in Rockland/Rockport and Troop 215 in Thomaston.
Donut Festival returning to Rockport for its second year
ROCKPORT, Maine — The "wildly popular" Rockport Donut Festival is returning to the midcoast this summer for its second year. The Town of Rockport announced Wednesday the sweet event is returning for two days in downtown Rockport and at the Harbor Marine Park on June 7-8. The event will feature several vendors from the midcoast and beyond, family-friendly activities, music, and more to pay homage to the town's doughnut history.

OWLS HEAD—Owls Head Transportation Museum held its second annual STEM Fest 2024 on April 26 and 27— this time expanding over a full weekend, to great success. To counter the adverse effects that the pandemic had on student achievement in Maine and to give teens and tweens an immersive hands-on experience with interactive displays in science, technology, engineering, and math, the museum transformed into multiple STEM stations throughout the building.
