(WBKO) - Texas-based convenience store Buc-ee’s is set to open this summer in Smiths Grove right off of I-65. “The people at Buc-ee’s aren’t really letting anything out on [an open date] yet because they’re still wanting to finalize in detail, everything, but early summer we should see it,” said Smiths Grove Mayor David Stiffey. “They told us during the groundbreaking ceremony, ‘When the doors open, they’re open, they don’t ever close after that.’”

A fugitive with a bullet wound and a rap sheet was nabbed in Tennessee after a Kentucky shootout turned the quiet roads of Warren County into a chaotic crime scene. Jessie Ray Curtis, a 36-year-old convicted felon, was wanted for a string of crimes, including first-degree burglary and firearm possession by a felon.
