On February 8th, Chillicothe Police responded to 1251 North Bridge Street in Guernsey Crossing Mall in reference to a theft complaint, where an employee stated that a white and a black woman concealed more than $1,000 worth of items and walked past all points of sale, and got into a car with heavy front-end damage, and left.
Bainbridge man gets four years in prison
A Bainbridge man sentenced to four years in prison on trafficking charges was among two people sentenced recently in Highland County Common Pleas Court. Nathan Snodgrass, 48, was sentenced to 12 months in prison on one count of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, a third-degree felony, which was ordered to be served consecutive to three years for another count of aggravated trafficking in meth, a second-degree felony. Snodgrass was also given 70 days of jail-time credit.
Fire in downtown Waverly ruled out to be arson
WAVERLY, Ohio — An apartment fire in Waverly that displaced a family is still undermined, however, arson has been ruled out as a factor. The fire happened at 213 Market Street in Waverly. The blaze, which ignited on, March 21, around 9 p.m. in the residential units above Perry Glass, a local business, triggered a rapid response from multiple fire departments and law enforcement agencies. Although the exact cause of the fire remains undetermined, investigators have ruled out foul play. However, accidental causes cannot be discounted.
