Rome Floyd Task Force Raid in Garden Lakes Nets Marijuana and Firearms
The Rome Floyd Metro Task Force found multiple pounds of marijuana Saturday afternoon and firearms in a raid of a Garden Lakes home on Elliot Drive. According to Floyd County Jail reports: Kayla Diane Jordan, 35, is charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of psilocybin mushrooms. She’s also facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as well as possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime after police found six pistols and a shotgun in the home. Jordan is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects and remained in jail without bond as of Monday.
Rome Man Acquitted In Alabama Murder Still Faces Charges In Floyd County
A Rome man acquitted of the murder of two Rome sisters in Alabama will still face charges in Floyd County stemming from the incident in 2020.
