St. Johnsbury man accused of chasing men with butcher knife
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - A St. Johnsbury man was arrested for allegedly chasing people with a knife. According to St. Johnsbury police, 40-year-old Alexander sergeant regularly sleeps on the benches in front of the welcome center in town. While responding to an alarm , police say two men approached an officer and said a homeless man chased them wielding a knife. Police say security footage shows sergeant yell at the men and then remove a 14 inch butcher knife from his jacket, and chase after them. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, and will be in court in June.

Newport man faces federal gun charges
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Newport man is facing federal charges in connection with several guns stolen from a local shop. According to court paperwork, Tucker Jacobs, 27, was arrested last week in violation of a court-ordered curfew. When police searched him, they say they found one of the 10 guns stolen from Wrights Sports Supply on April 15th. They say he also had a photo of numerous guns connected to that incident on his phone.
