WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - A rainy cold front that has been settling into the western Carolinas will attempt to encourage showers and storms in the Cape Fear Region as it presses east. Keep an eye out for such spotty activity, but also know that there will continue to be a lot of dry time for your outdoor plans too. Woman’s Charges Upped After Traffic Stop
A simple drug possession case became much more complicated when a Bolton-area woman allegedly refused to cooperate with deputies. Barbara Lynn Sessions, 45, was charged with simple possession of marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of resisting an officer, and two counts of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $1,000. Sessions address was listed on warrants as 6338 Old Lake Rd., Bolton.

After 18 years, the owners of downtown Wilmington's The Husk and YoSake sold the restaurants on April 30 to local business group C&C BizVentures. Chances for spring showers and storms are 0% tonight and Friday, 20% Saturday, and 30% Sunday. Wilmington officially recorded 0.01 inches of rain on Wednesday, May 1, though there were a few heavier storms around. Highs could make a run at 90 degrees in spots by the middle of next week.
