Twin Peaks to rise on site of former Smokey Bones restaurant in Lakeland
A Twin Peaks restaurant is expected to replace the former Smokey Bones restaurant on U.S. 98 in Lakeland, according to a company spokeswoman. "Smokey Bones' parent company is Fat Brands, which also owns Twin Peaks," said Charline Demosthene a spokeswomen with Smokey Bones. "They have decided to close the Lakeland location and redesign it to become Twin Peaks soon."

WINTER HAVEN — Winter head beach volleyball coach Dylan Sechrest knew that Satellite would be a tough team to reckon with. After all, this year Satellite is the 31st ranked beach volleyball program in the state. But the Yellow Jackets, the No. 23 team in the nation this year, beat them last year en route to state.
