Florida man killed, 2 injured in 3-vehicle accident in St. Louis County
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - One person was killed and two others were injured in a three-vehicle crash in St. Louis County this weekend. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday on I-270 north of Meramec Bottom Road. A driver of a 2009 Infiniti was trying to pass the driver of a KIA Optima, while a Hyundai Elantra was also stopped on the shoulder of the interstate’s northbound lanes. MSHP says the driver of the Infiniti struck the driver of the Hyundai Elantra as they were outside of their vehicle. The Infiniti then struck the right side of the Optima, ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned, and struck the rock bluff.
