Letter to the Editor: Beeville, we need you
The school bond election is long overdue for our community. I know it will cost more taxes for most of us taxpayers. However, we will be investing in the future of our students, supporting our teachers, and helping our community prosper. The average homestead in the Beeville ISD district is $159,611 per the Bee County Appraisal District. A taxpayer with a homestead exemption will pay $7.63 per month or $91.50 more per year after the bond. If a taxpayer has an Over 65 homestead exemption there is no tax increase because there is a tax ceiling for the taxpayer.

Alec Alexander, President of Karnes County National Bank agrees, “The availability to have a personal connection with entities that deal with your hard earned money is invaluable, and the accessibility to have the small town, one on one connection that has gone by the wayside is still a huge need.” This is exactly why Karnes County National Bank is opening a new branch in Beeville, in addition to its Karnes City and Kenedy locations.
