Plano Teenager Charged with Evading Arrest After High-Speed Chase Involving Stolen Vehicle
In the pre-dawn calm of Plano, Texas, a high-speed pursuit unfolded as police apprehended a teenager behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle. The Plano Police Department reported that Officer Smith spotted a vehicle previously reported stolen to the Dallas Police Department. The incident, which escalated into a chase, took place on Thursday, March 29, around 3:00 a.m. Officer Smith's attempt to pull over the driver, 17-year-old Edwin Martinez, led to Martinez fleeing and subsequently abandoning the car in the streets of Garland, according to the Plano Texas Police Department.
