Mississippi man arrested in Iowa on drug, gun charges
A Mississippi man was arrested in Iowa after police said he was found with drugs and guns in his vehicle. Police in Ottumwa, Iowa, arrested Fred Anthony Zuviceh III, 34, of Picayune. He has been charged with a variety of charges, including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, two counts of persons ineligible to carry dangerous weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Storms move east with the sky clearing overnight
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) -After storms move east, we’ll have a mostly clear sky with lows cooling into the low to mid 50s. Wednesday we’ll have a partly cloudy sky with highs rising into the low 70s. However, another round of showers and storms are possible on Thursday. Showers are also possible on Saturday and again next week. Temperatures will stay in the 60s and 70s.

Break to start the week, but storm chances return
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - After a sometimes stormy weekend, things start out much quieter for the work and school week. Clouds will be present at times today, but so will a good amount of sunshine for much of it. This sun will push temperatures back into the mid 60s for most. Winds will be noticeable from the west or west-southwest throughout the day, with some gusts reaching toward the 20 to 30 mph range.
Heavy rain and severe threats remain
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Our second round of showers and storms continues to move through the state. Besides severe weather, we also need to be aware of the heavy rain threat into Sunday morning. As the second low begins to lift out of the region some thunderstorms could develop late Sunday. If they do there is a chance, they may be strong to severe. Monday brings a quiet day with Tuesday showing a return chance for some thunderstorms, currently not looking severe. Have a great night and a safe weekend.
