Woman seriously hurt in crash south of Salina
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Medicine Lodge woman was seriously hurt in a crash near Salina. The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday about 9 miles south of Salina, on Interstate 135 just north of the Old Highway 81 junction. Troopers say the 34-year-old woman was heading north on I-135 when, for an unknown reason, she left the road on the right side.
USDA funding solar energy project for rural Kansas grocer

KINGMAN, Kan. — Matthias Brand has been selected as the new Chief of Kingman EMS and Rescue. He will start Monday, April 29.
