Owner of Jacksonville’s Westbrook Car Care Center retiring after 53 years of full service
JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KLTV) - Since 1971, Gregory “Kent” Westbrook has operated his full-service gas station on U.S. 79 in Jacksonville. Westbrook’s Car Care Center’s first location was at the corner of U.S. 69 and 79. It has since moved down the road to 1001 East Rusk Street. Westbrook has some not-so-fond memories of the widening project of Highway 69.
Baseball: Whitehouse's Dudolski tosses one-hitter
WHITEHOUSE — Michael Dudolski threw a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the District 15-5A champion Whitehouse Wildcats defeated the Marshall Mavericks, 4-0, on Saturday. The Wildcats improve to 25-6 overall and win the district at 11-3. Marshall falls to 17-11 and 7-7.
Gilmer softball sweeps Rusk to move into the 4A Region 3 Area Round
TYLER, Texas (KETK) — The Gilmer Lady Buckeyes softball team beat Rusk in the first two games of their 4A Region 3 Bi-District playoffs series to advance to the area round. Gilmer beat Rusk 7-4 in game one and 9-5 in game two to move on to the area round where they’ll face Little Cypress-Mauriceville.

Families listened to music, created art and more Saturday during Tyler ISD's ArtsFest at Tyler Legacy High School. Attendees could visit stations to make bags, jewelry, wind chimes and hats. At another table, students could try string instruments.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Dairy Queen on South Broadway Avenue in Tyler caught fire Sunday evening. Tyler firefighters were seen clearing the area in the aftermath of the fire. KLTV has reached out to authorities to confirm the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
