Sunday storm is prelude to rainy week in Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS — Another round of rain has arrived in the Twin Cities Sunday, and our unsettled pattern is here to stay.This latest storm started in southern Minnesota and moved north, bringing spotty showers, wind and possibly thunder, though the threat of severe weather remains low. The strongest storms will hit south of the Twin Cities.Expect an additional half-inch or inch of rain.Temperatures will stay around 50 degrees all day Sunday, then tick up slightly on Monday as the rain ends. Highs will climb closer to 70 on Tuesday and Wednesday, with another round of showers possible late Tuesday.We get a brief break from the rain on Wednesday before things cool back down and more rain chances arrive later in the week.
5 women injured, 3 critically, in rollover crash in north Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS — Five women were injured, three of them critically, in a crash in north Minneapolis Sunday, police said.All five women were in one vehicle, which crashed around 8:20 a.m. when exiting eastbound Interstate 94 at Dowling Avenue, the Minneapolis Police Department said.One woman had to be extricated and two may have been ejected, police said. Man hospitalized with grave injuries after south Minneapolis shooting
MINNEAPOLIS — A man shot Saturday night in Minneapolis is now fighting for his life at a hospital, police said.The shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. on the 2900 block of Blaisdell Avenue South, the Minneapolis Police Department said.The man was standing outside when someone in a vehicle shot him, according to police. Officers found him with potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds and he was taken to Hennepin Healthcare.No one has been arrested. Police are investigating.

Lawmaker discusses speed camera pilot program
Could speed cameras be used in select Minnesota cities? State lawmakers are considering a bill that would launch a pilot program in Minneapolis and Mendota Heights. The bill has been through several changes over the past year when it was first proposed to allow speed cameras across the state.
