Greenville Planning Board approves fence ordinance
GREENVILLE — Since receiving requests from residents to help avoid potential conflicts between neighbors concerning fence issues, the Greenville Planning Board has been working on a fence ordinance for the community. Board members have looked at other ordinances from around the state and these suggestions have been incorporated into drafts of the ordinance, which would be the first of its kind for Greenville.
Dexter Regional High School announces Class of 2024 valedictorian and salutatorian
DEXTER — Dexter Regional High School Principal Stephen Bell is honored to announce the valedictorian for the Class of 2024 Cally Gudroe and Salutatorian William Spratt. Cally is the daughter of Adam and Allyson Gudroe of Garland. Cally is yet to make a final decision on a college, but will be studying communications and journalism. While in high school, Cally has been part of varsity girls soccer, basketball, and tennis and has been a captain for all three teams. Cally has also been involved with Student Government, Key Club, and Global Discussions. Cally is a member of the National Honor Society and is currently serving as National Honor Society president.
Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis’ 50th Piscataquis River Race set for Saturday
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The 50th annual Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft Piscataquis River Race is set for Saturday, April 27 from Guilford to Dover-Foxcroft. Sponsored by Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Charities, Inc., the race starts at King Cummings Park in Guilford and paddlers will head approximately 10 miles down the Piscataquis River to the finish line located across West Main Street from Foxcroft Academy. Registration is 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and the Piscataquis River Race starts promptly at 10 a.m.
