Berlin, VT- Three people were killed in a two-car crash in Berlin on Saturday, but police have not released the names of the people involved. The crash happened near the intersection of Route 62 and Airport Rd. Police say both drivers and the only passenger in one car were dead when they got there.
Dump truck crashes into car in St. Johnsbury, Vermont
SAINT JOHNSBURY, Vt. — Three people were sent to the hospital after they were hit by a dump truck in St. Johnsbury on Monday. The St. Johnsbury Police Department said they were notified of a crash involving a dump truck at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Railroad Street and Concord Avenue.
Two vehicles totaled in Lyndon collision, one driver hospitalized
LYNDON — A head-on collision on Red Village Road near Black Walnut Lane resulted in two totaled vehicles and minor injuries for one driver, Vermont State Police reported. The crash occurred at 11:14 a.m. when Joslyn Richardson, 35, of Barre, fell asleep at the wheel of her 2019 Subaru Impreza and struck a 2021 Hyundai KONA operated by Danica Rolfe, 48, of Kirby.
In Montpelier, Enna to Serve Gelato; Dairy Creme for Sale
A Montpelier cone has been passed. Shannon Bates, chef-owner of the globally inspired deli Enna at 14 State Street, will add gelato during new daily afternoon and early evening hours starting on May 6. Bates bought some of the equipment from Chill Vermont Gelato, which operated a few storefronts away at 32 State Street from 2012 until last summer.

St. Johnsbury man accused of chasing men with butcher knife
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - A St. Johnsbury man was arrested for allegedly chasing people with a knife. According to St. Johnsbury police, 40-year-old Alexander sergeant regularly sleeps on the benches in front of the welcome center in town. While responding to an alarm , police say two men approached an officer and said a homeless man chased them wielding a knife. Police say security footage shows sergeant yell at the men and then remove a 14 inch butcher knife from his jacket, and chase after them. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, and will be in court in June.
Vermont road crews navigate multiple mud seasons
ROXBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - With almost 16,000 miles of dirt roads in Vermont, road crews say they were kept extra busy with multiple warm spells this winter. Worcester Road Commissioner Michael Utton says the town’s 19 miles of dirt roads got a lot of TLC this winter, with the first round of mud season coming as early as January.
