25-year-old killed in Saturday shooting in Montgomery
A 25-year-old man was shot to death early Saturday in Montgomery. Police identified the victim as Tracy Cloud Jr. He lived in Montgomery. Capt. Raymond Carson said officers and fire medics responded at 1:30 a.m. to a report of a person shot in the 3900 block of Eastern Boulevard. They arrived to find Cloud unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Two people were killed and another was injured in a head-on wreck Sunday near Montgomery, authorities said Friday. Jerad E. Swartz, 32, of Roanoke, Virginia, was driving a 2006 Scion XB around 11:30 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle collided head-on with a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu on State Route 110, about five miles east of Montgomery, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Joshua Thompson.
Greenville chase ends with Montgomery crash

A Minter man was arrested on May 8 by Montgomery Police Department for his alleged involvement in an April murder. Keehsar Henderson, 18, is charged with capital murder in the April 7 shooting death of Christopher Manuel 52. Goodwyn Middle School placed on soft lockdown
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Goodwyn Middle School was placed on a temporary lockdown this morning after reports of a gun in the area. According to the Montgomery police, around 7:11 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Perry Hill Road because of a call about a disturbance and a gun in the area. Police quickly deployed in the area, locating and detaining the suspects involved. Despite the report of a gun in the area, no weapons were located.
Millbrook annexation approved by the house and senate
The Rodgers View Court neighborhood is one step closer to being in Millbrook. The owners of all 12 homes on the dead end street bordering both Coosada and Millbrook corporate limits petitioned to be in Millbrook’s corporate limits.
