Shoe Station is moving into the closed Prattville Books-A-Million location. The bookstore closed in June and served as an anchor for the sprawling Prattville Town Center, located at the intersection of U.S. 82 and Cobbs Ford Road. Other anchors include Target and Home Depot. The center opened in the late 2000s during the city’s retail boom.

Friday April 19, come to the 1200 block of Madison Ave. to experience an evening of creativity and fun. Chefs Amber Bonds and Preston Williams will have a mystery ingredient cook off. Local artists will be on sight with new work and demos. Classic ballet 'Sleeping Beauty' set for April 28 at Davis Theatre
Don’t sleep on the chance to see “Sleeping Beauty” from Alabama River Region Ballet, which for a few graduating seniors will be their final performance. This production at 2 p.m. on April 28 at Troy University’s Davis Theatre in downtown Montgomery is the classical version of the “Sleeping Beauty” ballet, which has been performed since the 19th century.
