Local man busted on drug charges after traffic stop

Police arrest suspect in ATM robbery that injured elderly woman
A suspect wanted in connection with an elderly woman being injured amid a robbery at PNC Bank’s automated teller machine in the northwestern part of the city late last week was apprehended at a motel not far away, police said. Antoine Billups, 37, is being held under a $25,000 secured bond in the Nash County Detention Center on a charge of common law robbery, sheriff’s jail records online stated. According to police, investigators traced details about the incident and after further investigation, a tip came in from an anonymous person that led officers to the Days Inn off North Wesleyan Boulevard, where Billups was detained. Generally, common law robbery is the taking from another by intimidation, the threat of force or by violence. An 83-year-old woman was treated for minor injuries resulting from the robbery.

BIOGRAPHY: I am Zierea Lewis-Hall, a senior at Beddingfield High School. Along with that, I take dual enrollment courses at Wilson Community College. I’m the middle child of three kids and have always been the balance of the household. I have a younger sister who attends Beddingfield and an older brother whose interest is trade school. BIOGRAPHY: My name is Ava Stone. I am a senior at Wilson Christian Academy, where I have attended since kindergarten. I am a member of NHS at my school, as well as part of my school’s debate club and book club. Some of my hobbies and interests include reading, art and videography.
