Softball season ends at bi-district
The Albany Lady Lions saw a frustrating softball season end Friday,April 26 with a 12-0 loss to Anson in a Class 2A bi-district playoff. Albany finished 8-5 in a season that began with just nine players on the roster. While the Lady Lions got off to a good start, winning five of their first six, any momentum dissipated as they went more than a month without playingdue to lack of players. They resumed play in early April, getting in the second half of the District 8-2A schedule.

ABILENE Eighty Texas State Technical College students were celebrated as graduates during the Spring 2024 Commencement at the Abilene Convention Center on Friday, April 26.
