Attorney General James Announces Arrest of Colonie Car Dealership Owner for Failing to Pay Over $160,000 in Taxes
New York Attorney General Letitia James and Acting Commissioner of Taxation and Finance Amanda Hiller today announced the arrest of Guy Kennedy Nicolas of Colonie, New York on six felony charges for allegedly failing to report over $2 million in taxable sales and pay over $160,000 in sales tax. An investigation led by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) found that Nicolas failed to file annual sales tax returns for his car dealership business, G&A Auto Care Inc., for all but two years from 2013 to 2023. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 5 to 15 years in prison.
Albany man admits to giving gun to teen who fatally shot himself
An Albany man has admitted to giving a gun to a 14-year-old boy who accidentally shot and killed himself. Ellazar Williams pleaded guilty in Albany County Court on Friday to criminally negligent homicide. As part of a plea agreement, he will receive a sentence of 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Troy man caught with drugs, weapons, and over $20,000 search of home
TROY, NY (WRGB) — A Troy man faces multiple drug and weapons charges following a warrant search Thursday in the city. On Thursday, April 25th, around 9:30am Troy Police Department Detectives and Patrol Officers executed a search warrant in the area of Douw Street and River Street in connection to an ongoing gun and drug sales investigation. The suspect involved in the investigation, identified as Kervin E. Tribble, 45, was taken into custody and his residence was searched.
Two arrested in connection with February stabbing
Saratoga Springs, NY (WRGB) — Additional arrests have been made in connection with a February incident which left a teenager with multiple stab-wounds. Just after 7:30 p.m. on February 20, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office responded to a stabbing call involving a 16-year-old victim on Redfield Park in the town of Clifton Park. The victim was transported to Albany Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery for potentially life-threatening injuries.

Troy man faces weapons, drug charges
A Troy man is facing weapons and drug charges. Police responded to the area of Douw and River streets for an investigation. They found an illegal handgun in his possession and drugs such as cocaine, Ecstasy, fentanyl and ketamine. There was also $20,100 in cash in his home, police said.
