Transportation advisory committee members voted last week on a proposal that will be presented to the metropolitan planning organization policy board at its June 5 meeting, according to a Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments spokesman. The committee recommended shifting the previously awarded funding from the Perrysburg project to using the $2.9 million toward the city of Northwood's Woodville and Lemoyne roads roundabout project. Additionally, the committee recommended awarding $1.05 million toward a roundabout project at Sylvania Avenue and Herr Road.

Editorial: Maumee traffic aches
Maumee’s decision to restrict travel through the downtown from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction has created a horrendous bottleneck.
