Today has been filled with a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures are well above average in the low and mid 80s. Expect breezy winds out of the south, southeast with occasional gusts up to 25 mph. Winds will settle down as we head into the evening hours and skies will stay mostly clear overnight. Overnight lows will remain mild through Sunday morning in the low and mid 60s.
Nice end to the weekend – Rain returning soon
The weekend will come to an end with a nice, sunny Sunday. But, this pattern of nice weather will not be sticking around for much longer. Over the weekend, an area of high pressure has been holding back storms across our region, but that is starting to break down. Before it does, we will have a very nice Sunday for the final day of Panoply.

Escaped Morgan Co. inmate recaptured, officials say
DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - An escaped Morgan County inmate has been recaptured, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections. Officials said Thomas Davis was recaptured Friday in Decatur, Georgia after escaping on Wednesday from the North Alabama Correctional Facility in Decatur, Alabama. Davis was recaptured by the U.S. Marshals Service.
