WASHINGTON — A pedestrian has died after being hit by the driver of a vehicle in Northwest D.C. early Thursday. Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department say a woman was crossing the street, while not in a crosswalk, on 16th Street Northwest, nearby Rock Creek Park Holly Trail, just before 3 a.m. A vehicle traveling northbound on the road then hit her.
14-year-old boy charged with multiple offenses including apartment theft, armed robbery
WASHINGTON (7News) — A 14-year-old Maryland boy was arrested Wednesday after being accused of multiple offenses that occurred in northwest D.C., authorities said. Officials with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the juvenile of North Brentwood, was arrested for at least six incidents including a theft at an apartment building and an armed robbery.

Farewell to Crystal City Underground, the DC Area’s Strangest Mall
For nearly 50 years, Jack Levonian’s photography store has occupied a small piece of subterranean real estate in Arlington, a catacomb called the Crystal City Underground. Levonian and his Metro Camera shop moved in after the underground mall opened in 1976. It was the happening place to be back then, he says, a shopping center of the future in an Arlington neighborhood that had little to offer back then beyond government offices.
