Chillicothe drivers involved in Route V mirror strike incident
A collision occurred on Route V near LIV 228 in Livingston County, about five miles south of Chula, at approximately 6:00 p.m. on May 26, 2024. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 1999 Ford F250 driven by John K. Valbracht, 21, of Chillicothe, Missouri and a 2004 Ford F350 driven by Gabriel D. Jeffries, 30, also of Chillicothe, Missouri. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

LIVINGSTON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 6p.m. Friday in Livingston County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Dodge Ram driven by Ann M. Crighton, 31, Jamesport, was westbound on MO 190 three miles west of Chillicothe. The pickup traveled off the north side of the road, struck a guardrail, continued down an embankment and across a private drive. The pickup then traveled through a field and struck a tree.

Pattonsburg man receives 15-year prison sentence for child molestation
A Pattonsburg man accused of abusing a family member has been sentenced in Daviess County Circuit Court. Shaun Eric Murphy, 45, pleaded guilty in March and was sentenced to the Missouri Department of Corrections for 15 years on first-degree child molestation and seven years on abuse or neglect of a child involving no sexual contact. The sentences are to run concurrently.
