Caldwell County Route 13 Reopens
Caldwell County Route 13 from Mill Creek Drive to Route P is now open. Contractors from Phillips Hardy, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed the roadway in May to begin stage one (Mill Creek Drive to Route P) of a project to repave Route 13 from the southern city limits of Hamilton to north of Route HH in Kingston.
Weekly Safety Report: Multiple Serious Injury Crashes Investigated in Marceline, Missouri
Four serious injury crashes were investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol over the weekend in the area counties. One incident involved a two-vehicle crash south of Marceline on Highway 5, resulting in serious injuries to the driver and passenger of a Chevrolet Cavalier. Another incident was a single-vehicle crash in Caldwell County. The incidents occurred on November 25, 2023.

Woman Awaiting Sentencing Booked For Bond Violation
A Princeton woman awaiting sentencing on a charge of Driving While Revoked or Suspended was arrested and booked into the Caldwell County Detention Center for an alleged bond condition violation. Forty-eight-year-old Sara Nichole Moore had pleaded guilty to the charge November 9th. Sentencing was scheduled for January 4th. She was released on her own recognizance on November 21st. Monday, she was arrested by Hamilton Police for alleged violation of Bond Conditions and is held at the Caldwell County Detention Center with bond now set at $20,000. A hearing is scheduled for December 1st in the Livingston County Circuit Courtroom.
Several Serious Injury Accidents Over The Weekend
Four serious injury crashes in the area counties were investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol over the weekend. Saturday at about 3:50 pm, a two-vehicle crash south of Marceline on Highway 5 left one driver and their passenger with serious injuries. A 16-year-old Brookfield girl was eastbound and pulled into the path of a trash truck. The girl and her passenger, 26-year-old Corbin Cochrell of Marceline were taken to University Hospital in Columbia. The truck driver was not injured.
Missouri woman injured after pickup overturns
CALDWELL COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Saturday in Caldwell County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 GMC Canyon driven by Jon L. Harman, 63, Chillicothe, was eastbound on U.S. 36 two miles east of Cameron. The pickup began to slide, traveled off the north side of the road and overturned.
