Dayville School to get teacher housing near schoolhouse
DAYVILLE – As previously mentioned, Dayville School District has received $125,000 in grant funding from the Eastern Oregon Regional Educators Network to secure new housing for teachers and staff. Superintendent Dr. Davida Irving said a new house will be going into a spot where an old shed currently sits. She thinks they may have found the house to go there:
Dayville School has a new preschool playground
DAYVILLE – Students are off this week, enjoying a week-long break from school. Dayville School District Superintendent Dr. Davida Irving was on KJDY’s Coffee Time Thursday morning, and said come Monday, students will have an all-new playground to come back to and enjoy on school grounds. Dr. Irving said thanks to some grant funding, the preschoolers will have their own space and equipment:
Sunken grade on Hwy 395B
LONG CREEK – The Oregon Department of Transportation has issued a cautionary message on TripCheck regarding a sunken grade on US Highway 395B, north of Long Creek. The agency reports that at milepost 73, about 16 miles north of Long Creek, sunken pavement is causing minimal delay to traffic. Motorists are asked to use caution in the area. We’ll provide updates if the highway condition worsens.
