Fairfield police nab suspect for vehicle theft, gun possession
FAIRFIELD — A suspect was apprehended early April 25 after a series of vehicle break-ins and the discovery of a firearm. Fairfield Police Department officers responded to the Ann Street and Nichols Street vicinity around 5:40 a.m. following reports of car alarms and sightings of two masked individuals on bicycles.

Vermont health officials confirm first measles case since 2018
For the first time since 2018, there’s a confirmed case of measles in Vermont but health officials say the risk to the public remains low. Health officials learned of the case on April 10 when the Georgia Department of Public Health told them a group of 25 people were exposed to measles on an international flight to Atlanta. The person who has measles is part of an international group program.
