Plans to improve safety at “Corning Y” intersection
CORNING, Ark. (KAIT) - A recent deadly crash at a dangerous intersection in Clay County has officials ready to make a change. Numerous car crashes have been reported at the “Corning Y” for years. The intersection causes chaos for drivers at State Highway 135 and U.S. Highway 62 in Corning. Clay County Judge Mike Patterson said they are working with the Arkansas Department of Transportation to develop new plans to enhance the area’s safety.

The Poplar Bluff Mules wasted no time getting out of the first round of this year’s Semo Conference baseball tournament. Junior Noah Spain collected three hits in three at-bats as the Mules defeated New Madrid County Central 16-1 on Friday at Poplar Bluff High School.
