Topeka woman arrested for driving wrong way on I-70 between Shawnee, Wabaunsee counties
WABAUNSEE COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka woman was arrested for driving the wrong way on I-70 between Shawnee and Wabaunsee Counties. According to a media release shared by the Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook, around 3:28 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, Shawnee County dispatch received more than a dozen calls about a wrong-way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lane on I-70. Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office deputies made attempts to intervene but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Governor Laura Kelly was joined by city staff, members of the Kansas Arborist Association board, and representatives from the Kansas Forest Service to sign a proclamation to declare Friday, April 26 Kansas Arbor Day.
